History of Team Forcedspeed

Forcedspeed is a speed shop that specializes in engine rebuilding and suspension tuning, mostly of Honda vehicles. The name Forcedspeed was conceptualized by Mr. Danny de Borja and myself. Both of us wanted a moniker that would emphasize our work which was to make the fastest all-motor single-cam Honda in the Philippines. What we had in mind was to apply our knowledge and expertise in modifying our Honda EG Hatchback which we named “Mighty Mouse”.

In 2001, with only one tool box and a few of our closest friends as customers, Forcedspeed started at the driveway of our residence in Loyola Heights. Its roster of happy and satisfied customers rapidly grew by word of mouth and in 2004, the officers and members of Honda Club Philippines started endorsing and promoting Forcedspeed.

Forcedspeed officially ventured into drag racing in 2002 with the goal of setting the fastest all-motor single-cam Honda. Aboard Mighty Mouse, this was achieved in 2007 when I set the quarter mile record of 12.9 seconds @108 mph during the Philippine Drag Racing Family Sport event. In 2006 Forcedspeed started joining circuit racing at the Subic International Speedway (Run What You Brung) and Philippine GT Championship at Batangas Racing Circuit in 2008.

At present, Forcedspeed is shifting gears by venturing into importation of car parts from Japan and the United States. In the Philippines, it is the exclusive distributor of Works Bell RAPFIX II Quick Release with Ball Lock System, RAPFIX II Key Lock System, RAPFIX GTC, RAPFIX GTC R Tilt Type Steering System, Short Boss (hub) for RAPFIX and other accessories.

Forcedspeed is also doing collaborations with Works Bell Japan Break Pads, HPI Racing Gears, LDL Speedshop and other groups for continuous expansion. Just this year, Forcedspeed partnered with 602 Palm Tower Garage (602 PTG) of Japan in race management and organization.
